What is in a THC Tincture?

In general, these contain cannabinoids like THC and sometimes CBD alongside a carrier oil, like MCT oil. The specific ingredients will vary from brand to brand, and tincture to tincture. We can only speak for our own formulation at Evn, which is meticulously formulated with hemp flower rosin, Delta 9 THC, MCT Oil (derived from coconut), and natural citrus flavor.

What is a THC Tincture Used For?

The possibilities are endless with a tincture as you can choose a strain or THC/CBD ratio based on the effects you’re looking for.

For example, some may ease insomnia and help you get a better night’s sleep - while others will boost creativity and help you focus on your work. Think about what you’re hoping to get out of the tincture and shop accordingly. There is a tincture just for you here at Evn CBD!

What About THC Oil vs Tincture?

These two sound the same, but there are stark differences between a THC tincture and THC oil. Technically, THC oil is a type of tincture. THC tinctures are extracted using alcohol and infused with a carrier oil.

On the other hand, THC oil requires heat to produce as the cannabis must be “decarbed” to activate its cannabinoids. Other than that, consumption methods and effects are largely the same.

How Much THC is in These Tinctures?

Each bottle of Evn THC tincture contains 30 servings of 2.5 mg THC and 2.5 mg CBD per 1 ml dropper. That’s a total of 300mg of both cannabinoids.

How Much Should You Take?

The beauty of tinctures is that you have complete control over dosage. Our advice is to always start slow and work your way up to find the minimum effective dose (MED) that supports your goals.

This process is known as titration and helps you feel how you want without the risk of overdoing it. It also helps keep your tolerance low and makes the most of every serving.

Try half a dropper first, which is 5mg of THC. Complete beginners might even want to start with a quarter of a dropper. You can always consume more, but you can never go back and consume less if you overdo it!

What Effects Will a Cannabis Tincture Produce?

The specific effects you feel from a THC tincture will be unique to your ECS along with the strain itself. With our cannabis tincture here at Evn you’re in for a balanced high with euphoria and relaxation thanks to the 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD.

The Sour Electra strain blends calming yet uplifting effects that are perfect for unwinding after a long day or sparking creativity during moments of inspiration at work. It’s a great all-arounder strain, a perfect hybrid.

What are THC Tinctures?

These liquid cannabis extracts are taken orally or sublingually (under the tongue) for a discreet, fast-acting way to enjoy the benefits of THC without smoking or vaping. Perfect for those who want precision dosing and a clean, hassle-free experience.

How Do They Compare to CBD Tinctures?

You might have seen CBD tinctures on the market, but THC tinctures offer a very different experience. CBD is known as a healing cannabinoid and brings benefits such as stress relief and inflammation reduction.

THC can have therapeutic potential as well, but this is the psychoactive compound in cannabis responsible for producing a “high.” But since our formula is a 1:1 blend, you’ll get the best of both worlds.

What are the Benefits of Cannabis Tinctures?

The specific benefits will vary from individual to individual since we all have a unique endocannabinoid system (ECS) - which dictates how you “feel” cannabis. Some will feel euphoria, others will notice a reduction in stress. You might feel your creative juices going, while other customers report better sleep.

The tincture delivery form itself supports precise dosing, fast absorption, and discreet use. They’re versatile, too. You can add them to food or drinks for a customized experience. The possibilities are endless with tinctures!

How Long Do THC Tinctures Take to Kick in and How Long Do They Last?

Sublingual use (under the tongue) typically starts working within 15-30 minutes, while swallowing it like an edible may take up to 1-2 hours for effects to kick in. Either way, the effects can last anywhere from 4 to 8 hours. Tinctures deliver great bang for your buck.

Do Cannabis Tinctures Expire?

The shelf life of a cannabis tincture is fairly long when kept in optimal storage conditions - a cool, dark place will help preserve potency and flavor. You can expect the THC tincture to stay good for 12-24 months in these conditions.

What Should You Look for in a Tincture?

You needn’t look any further than our formulation here at Evn, as we go above and beyond in sourcing the highest-quality raw material and maintain those standards each step through production.

The most important factor is purity. That’s why you should never shop with a brand that doesn’t lab-test its products or offer transparency into the origin of its products. Look for full-spectrum or single-strain extracts for a consistent, true-to-strain experience.

Make sure the ratio of THC to CBD meets your goals as well. You can also ensure you’re getting the quality you deserve by reading the ingredients label to confirm it’s free of GMOs, animal-based ingredients, or other fillers/additives that don’t belong

Is a Tincture Stronger Than Edibles and Smoking?

Not necessarily, but it depends on your consumption method. Sublingual tinctures work faster than edibles and may feel stronger because of their quick absorption. Smoking works faster than both, but the effects are more short-lived than edibles and tinctures.

That’s not to say that our live resin gummies or live rosin gummies don’t have their place, though. They’re carefully crafted to the same strict standards as our cannabis tincture but in a more convenient delivery method. Try our indica gummies, sativa gummies, or hybrid gummies while you’re at it!
